From 2.00pm tomorrow afternoon (Saturday, 16 March 2013), I will be at New Dimensions Bookshop on South Terrace Adelaide talking about the seasonal "Wheel of the Year".
The "Wheel of the Year", or the eight seasonal festivals form
the basis around which many Pagan traditions revolve. Within modern Wicca, they tell
the story of the God through the annual cycles of life, death and rebirth. These
cycles are all around us in nature as well as within our own being.
Through againing a deeper understanding of each of these
festivals (referred to as "Sabbats"), we gain not only a deeper connection to
the world around us but also our place within the greater scheme of all things.
I will also be signing copies of my book Dancing the Sacred Wheel: A Journey through the Southern Sabbats.
New Dimensions Bookshop is located at 310 South Terrace, Adelaide, opposite the South Parklands and a short walk from the beautiful Himeji ("Japanese") Gardens.
Tomorrow's talk will be a prelude to my interactive workshop The Wytch's Year which will be held on Saturday, 27 April 2013. There are limited positions for the workshop and only six places currently remaining.
On Sunday, 17 March 2013, we will be acknowledging the Autumn Equinox with a family-friendly picnic in Bonython Park. Look for the purple wind flags on the river side of the western (city end) of the park from 11.30am.
